Attention Multifamily Property Managers and Owners

Your property may qualify for no-cost energy-saving upgrades that can improve resident comfort, increase home efficiency and add value to your building.

The state-sponsored Equitable Building Decarbonization (EBD) Direct Install Program provides eligible multifamily properties with no-cost energy assessments, appliances, equipment and installation.

Available improvements may include heat-pump heating and cooling systems, heat-pump water heaters, electric cooktops, clothes dryers and other energy-saving electric upgrades.

Your property may qualify if…

  • It is located in Bakersfield, Fresno, Los Banos, or Modesto.
  • At least 66% (two-thirds) of the property’s residents must have household incomes at or below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI). Eligibility may be verified through a regulatory agreement, affordable rent restrictions, or resident income documentation.   • It currently uses gas for space heating or water heating.
